The beauty is in the eye of beholder

Have you ever heard of “The beauty is in the eye of beholder”? What if the beholder changes his/her mind a lot? Where is a destination of beauty? If we still not satisfy by the beauty that we have.

This is the era that plastic surgery has become very popular all over the world. People can change any parts of their body that they don’t like, the doctors can do it very well now just like they mold a piece of clay and put it back on the body. After a painful night, the patient will wake up with their new part of body which make them full of self-confidence.

There are many TV programs about making over to a new look which revive your life to be more beautiful by cosmetic surgery. It shows that being beautiful is just another product that you can buy from a surgeon as many times as you want (if you have money).

In 2004, there was a news about a Korean singer who suffer from cosmetic surgery which turned her into a monster. She was very popular in Korea and moved to Japan where She started her first surgery with the unqualified doctor. She had many surgeries in Japan. One day, she came back to her family. Nobody could remember her. They realized her problem and sent her to get fixed both psychically and mentally, but she resisted. Anyway, She asked many surgeons in Korea for more operations. The only answer she got was “No”, so she injected paraffin oil into her face by herself and finally ended up being a monster. With help from people, she got another 15 operation and became normal again.

So, what is the meaning of being beautiful for these people? if they cannot stop getting cosmetic surgery. Will there be many of real Barbie dolls walking on the same street with us in the near future? And They might finally end up with the psychologist not the surgeon as usual.

I think, plastic surgery is good if that can heal the health’s problem or fulfill your satisfaction for a few parts of your body. But if you really change to be a new you and leave all your background behind. I really think that you should think about beauty from “inner” before you realize that you are one of the fashion victim by cosmetic surgery.

  1. I agree that plastic surgery is essential for the use in medication, e.g. accidents or to heal wounds or sores. I also find that many cases the doctors are too much in with the money and forget to give their patients proper advice or strictly hold on to surgery for medication. Beauty is good but it should not be over valued. There are other parts of you that need to be given more attention to: Your HEART.

  2. The cosmetic surgery is a scapegoat of the incident. Actually, we are the victim of the society that we are judged by our outer appearance. We sometimes buy stuffs because of the beautiful package not their quality. Since I was young, I have learned that the beauty is a privilege, which can open doors to good opportunities in life. The beauty makes you exist in the world. When I was young, I went to school by the bus with my friend. She was a good looking girl. There was always someone gave her a seat on the bus whereas I always had to stand all the way home.

  3. But you don't need a surgery in oder to get a seat right? You don't need it just to only be someone either. There are many more situations that beauty can't help you at all and what suits best is a beautiful mind and heart.

  4. Ha Ha!! Mana, I do agree with you that we don't want to get a surgery in order to get a seat. what i mean is the reson why more and more people want to get that cosmetic surgery. Anyway, people can't see your heart because it is insivible to their eye. It is just like you can't sense my mild part.^_^

  5. I think her face's very disgusting!! Actually she's beautiful but why she want to do the plastic surgery? Anyway, people always get upset about their face or body even me!! Well we're not looking good but it doesn't mean we're bad right?
But it's also our right to do whatever we want with our faces. And it's ourselves to get the consequence too!
