The exam can be a useful technique for students’ employment later on.

The exam can be a useful technique for students’ employment later on.

It’s the students’ responsibility first to study deeply all the materials on the syllabus, do all the homework, attend all the classes, look all past papers, know the day, time and place for the exam. The students tend to cover all these things as basic before the exam. Some of them who work hard, they probably excel in the examination. It means that it’s quite fair for evaluating their levels of competences.

The exam can judge the students’ competences in case of their scholarships’ determination and employment. It’s possible that the exam - a representation of real life experience, starting from working hard in school and begin seeking for employment. The students who are good at oral examination, may convince that they are able to work in good organization. The ability to gain employment will depend on how well they performed.

Students who were successful in their exams, they may have high levels of confidence in their ability and this possibly reflects in their performance as well.

I experience once how to gain my confidences when I have to present something toward any other colleagues in my work place. The participation or the oral exam in classroom is an obvious practical technique, helping me how to express my own idea out of the public. It can help us how to face a problem in real life in somehow.

Song Kran

Here comes the hottest month in Thailand. Even April is the hottest, but it is also the most popular time for everyone to join this festival…”Song Kran”

People know that Song Kran is a big day for water fight. Especially in Chiang Mai where it has the moat around the city. But it is actually a break time for people to go back home and spend time with their family after working all year long.

The most fun part would be the water fight. In the past, the way people played was humble and gentle. They pour a only small amount of water on the shoulder or hands. But now, they play rough and hard by using a big water gun or bucket to splash water. The teenagers take advantages of the chaos to drink alcohol and do inappropriate things which they cannot do in normal. According to Chiang Mai newspaper, the statistic from 2010 shows that most of the people who died in Chiang Mai during Song kran festival are male teenagers age between 15-25 who are drunk and perfectly killed themselves by drowning or motorbike crashing.

Isn’t it time to go home and see your beloved ones alive? The main point of this festival is “Family”, the most precious time of the year when you have the ones who truly love you all around. I cannot tell everyone how to play and have fun during this festival properly. I just want to remind you what is more important to your life. Too many people died during this time because they did things careless. I am sure that it is not worth your parents crying for you to become alive again.

Have a happy holiday!!!!

Frozen Food: Alternative Food for Modern Lifestyle

By Kanokwan (530132001)

Nowadays people live their lives in a hurry. People require convenience, rapid management for everything in their daily lives including food matter. Thus, the way people consume food has changed. Consequently, people tend to consume more frozen food which requires less time in preparing.

Freezing is one of the food preservation methods which has been practiced for generations. The food is stored under very low temperature to prevent the growth of bacteria to provide longer food shelf life while maintaining its taste, freshness, and nutrition. The frozen products are popular in various parts of the world for instance, America, Europe, and Japan. For Thailand, this category of food becomes more popular consumers few years ago.

I and my friend often bring frozen food for our lunch at the office but some people say it is not good for our health. Many people are reluctant to consume frozen food because of additives and food packages may cause the environmental problem. However, I think that frozen food is an attractive choice for the modern lifestyle since it offers time and money saving, convenience, a perfect calorie control, and dependable production control system. Sometimes, food at restaurants or markets may not as clean as we expect.

To avoid unhealthy menus, we can study ingredients on the label. However, I think the law passed to regulate the information on labels must be enforced by the government. Manufacturers should not show merely general information but also the nutrition facts on labels. Thus, people can choose the most appropriate diets to meet their requirements and lifestyle.
